People of Color and Their Allies (monthly sit, discussion)

The Mind-Body Los Angeles Google calendar is a source of information about on-going free, by donation, low-cost, and sliding scale "complementary" or "alternative" practices, such as acupuncture, energy healing, meditation, Qigong, Tai Chi, yoga, etc. from over 100 providers.

The following list is of monthly or special, one-off events coming up this week:

MONDAY 7:30-8:30PM Mindful Strategies for Managing Anxiety, by donation (InsightLA, Westlake Village)

TUESDAY 6:30-8:30PM Darkness Meditation: New Moon Tuesdays, $5-20 sliding scale donation (Pieter Performance Space, Lincoln Heights)

WEDNESDAY 12:30PM and 1PM Bilingual Yoga at Lunchtime (Japanese / English), two 20-min. sessions, FREE, The Japan Foundation, Los Angeles 国際交流基金ロサンゼルス日本文化センター (Miracle Mile)

THURSDAY 1-4PM CommuniTEA Dog Party, "De-stress with therapy doggos & sip free tea, USC Office of Religious & Spiritual Life

SATURDAY 11AM-4PM Free Listening + Tea at Chinatown Parade Feb. 1st, "Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Tagalog listening tea tenders ready to share delicious oolongs and chrysanthemums in a judgement free zone," Inspiration.Cafe

SUNDAY 11AM-12:30PM People of Color and Their Allies,, by donation, no one turned away for lack of funds (Downtown LA), "Join JoAnna Hardy and Mary Ann Gallo for meditation and deep conversation about jail reform and how it relates to collective liberation." 12:45-2:30PM Species Extinction Wisdom Circle, FREE non-religious event, Throop Unitarian Universalist Church is venue. (Pasadena) "Now is the time to stay fully informed about what is happening and explore how we may more fully practice mercy, love and forgiveness ... Above all, let us grieve together for what is being lost forever."
